Dementia Can Fragment the Family

Flexibility is the byword. One never knows tomorrow's menu of doings, just so long as you don't permit yourself to be done in. Empathy makes that engine chug along and stay on track.

(SALEM) - Salem-News.com I recently spoke to a nephew in Florida about a case of dementia in his family. He asked that I not disclose the name of the person involved, but it's ok to share his dilemma anonymously. It would be a "good education" for all of us, he stated.

Let's call that lady "Martha". She's a retired educator, married with no birth family members living anywhere nearby. Her husband, "Fred", is the principal caretaker.

Marijuana and Tobacco: A Lethal Combination

It's the tobacco, stupid!

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - cigarillos The Portland Tribune usually a very conservative newspaper published an astonishing article 9-28-2013 titled "Sweet Deceit Cigars Tempt Teens". Expect More Failed Israeli-Palestinian Peace Negotiations

Israel has erected a wall or fence, which cuts deep into Palestinian territory, joining large Jewish settlement blocks to Israel, further confining the Palestinians to isolated enclaves.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Israel-Palestine peace negotiations The Israeli and Palestinian negotiating teams met again on October 3, 2013 for the eighth time since direct peace talks were resumed in late July. No one but the eternally optimistic expects any meaningful result from these negotiations.

The history of these negotiations is merely camouflage for the systematic annexation of the West Bank by way of settlement construction hoping that this will encourage Palestinian emigration. In short, a state for Palestine and one for Israel is but an illusion.

Prove What You Don`t Have

Those who insisted that Iraq prove that it didn't have what it said it didn't have simply rejected Iraq's denial, which cost a million and a half lives and trillions of dollars.

(MANAMA, Bahrain) - No WMD Prove that you don't have what I believe you have! That was an exact demand made on Saddam Hussein. He scoffed. That brought "shock and awe", and Saddam was hanged on the mother of all ropes.
