Keep American Government and Religion Separate and Keep It Peaceful

Amen for the first Amendment that guarantees the exercise of religion and forbids the state from establishing a religion. Can you imagine our government trying to run a church?

Rohingya Leaders Say ARU Conference Should Have Been Postponed

Rohingya people must work together and avoid infighting; it is what the oppressors want...

(BERLIN) - Mohamed Ibrahim and Abdul Aziz of ERC, and the Prof. Dr. Wakar Uddin at the United Nations in Geneva. On behalf of Rohingyas around the worldwide Mohiuddin Mohamad Yusof (Maung Sein) sent a formal letter to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to postpone the Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Conference that took place from July 7-8, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Yusof wrote that it’s important to “not to divide the Rohingyas' unity” by holding the conference when 14 out of 25 ARU signatories won’t be attending.

(STATE COLLEGE, PA AccuWeather.com) - Chantal AccuWeather.com reports as Chantal tracks west-northwestward across the Caribbean, the greatest threat from the tropical storm will be from flooding this week.

The Windward islands will experience tropical storm conditions Tuesday, followed by similar conditions over parts of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico Tuesday night and Wednesday. Haiti and the Dominican Republic would be impacted by Chantal later Wednesday into Thursday.

(WASHINGTON DC) - Barack Obama President Obama launched a long overdue national Climate Action Plan in his Georgetown University speech on June 26, but it did not fully come to grips with the climate emergency already upon us.

While overall the plan deserves enthusiastic support, it is still an early palliative step on the path to stabilizing the climate.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - NSA Whistleblower Edward Snowden Much, maybe too much, has been reported on Edward Snowden's leaking of classified information, the NSA Surveillance Program, and Snowden's desperate attempts to find asylum. I would just add a brief comment.

In my view Edward Snowden is neither a hero nor a villain. He broke the law as an act of conscience. As a result of his act of civil disobedience, he will probably spend his life in exile.

During the hearing, the bench consisting of honorable Justice Tasaduq Hussain Gillani and Justice Nasir ul Malik ordered to dismiss an application filed against the girl (Rimsha) accused of blasphemy.

The bomb went off in a small parking lot that is surrounded by 12 high rise apartments forming a square... the blast occurred in an alley off of Abbas Mousawi street.
