Overdue Climber on Mt. Hood

The unnamed climber is believed to be an experienced, and has reportedly climbed this route before.

(MT. HOOD OR) - Mount Hood Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team are currently coordinating a search on Mt. Hood for an overdue climber.

The Sheriff's Office was notified by family members at about 9:00 p.m., Saturday evening of an overdue climber who was supposed to return at 3:00 p.m.

Rider Killed, Driver Arrested Following Motorcycle Crash Into Van

The van's driver was arrested by OSP for Criminally Negligent Homicide and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII).

(LA PINE OR) - 43-year old Glen Leland Harvey Jr. One person died and another was taken into custody following a fatal traffic crash Saturday evening along Highway 31, about eight miles southeast of Highway 97 in Klamath County.

According to Sergeant Mike Turner, a 2007 Honda motorcycle operated by 57-year old Stephen Anthony Williams of Silver Lake, was eastbound on Highway 31 near milepost 8 on June 22, 2013 at approximately 6:55 p.m., when the motorcycle collided into the passenger side of a 1984 Dodge van that was turning from the westbound lane into a private driveway.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Anti circumcision parade Members of Bay Area Intactivists will march in the San Francisco Pride parade to raise awareness of the human right to genital integrity.

Bay Area Intactivist Jonathon Conte said, "We welcome all who wish to put an end to infant circumcision and other forms of forced genital cutting to join us as we carry signs and hand out goodies. More details about this event will be posted here in the future."

Twelve Women Human Rights Defenders of `Maitree` in India Arbitrarily Arrested

The human rights defenders are concerned with the gang-rape and murder of a 20-year-old student in Kamduni.

(YORK, UK) - Members of Maitree demonstrating against gender violence in Bengal Twelve women human rights defenders were arrested on 13 June 2013 while assembled peacefully outside the residence of the Chief Minister of West Bengal. After being taken into custody, they were denied access to their lawyers.

Those arrested are all members of Maitree, a Kolkata-based network of women's human rights organisations which have a particular focus on violence against women and women's empowerment.

It has been estimated that 400 million people in the world use marijuana but I would guess that the actual use is twice or three times that.
