FDA Meets to Reformulate OxyContin

Why is the FDA holding an "emergency meeting" on the reformulation of OxyContin?

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - OxyContin extended release tablets September 10 and 11 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST), the FDA will be holding an advisory committee meeting via an online teleconferencing platform.

The committee will discuss the results of required "post marketing studies" on the reformulation of OxyContin extended-release tablets, manufactured by Purdue Pharma.

Three DOC Oregon Prisons Evacuated Due to Fire Threat

A total of 1,450 adults in custody have been relocated, not released.

(SALEM, Ore.) - OSCI prison Three Salem institutions are in potential danger as the fires move down the Santiam Canyon. DOC has worked with the Oregon State Police and the State Fire Marshall to keep everyone who works and lives inside these prisons safe.

A total of 1,450 adults in custody (AIC) have been relocated. All AICs have been moved to and will be housed in emergency beds throughout Oregon State Penitentiary (OSP).

Marion County Declares Emergency Due to wildfires

The emergency declaration allows the county to seek resources from the state government.

(SALEM, Ore.) - oregon fires The Marion County Board of Commissioners has declared a State of Emergency for Marion County due to rapidly spreading wildfires in the county. Fires are expected to continue and have required evacuations.

The county will take all necessary steps to coordinate response and recovery from this emergency.

Two people from the Trump/Proud Boy group were arrested

(SALEM, Ore.) - Trump terror trucks Trump supporters/Proud Boys were videotaped running up to a female BLM supporter in the Capitol Mall, shooting her with paintballs and hitting her. Proud Boys are also seen on video attacking a counter-protester with a baseball bat and pepper spray.

A member of the press corps from Portland was shot with paintballs as Trump supporters yelled “Antifa press” at him.

The fire has forced road closures at Front Street Northeast and D Street Northeast, as well as a road closure at Front Street Northeast just south of Division Street Northeast.

The study’s findings are similar to several others finding that medical cannabis use by seniors is relatively safe and effective at mitigating pain and improving self-reported quality of life.
