The DEA today announced the results of “Project Below the Beltway”, a two-year series of investigations targeting the Sinaloa and Juarez Cartels and violent street gangs as part of on-going initiative against the cartels and their distribution network in America.
The series of federal, state, and local investigations began in May 2010 and culminated on December 6, 2012.

It was recently reported that Sri Lanka intended to deploy suspected war criminal, General Shavendra Silva, to South Africa to take up the post of deputy ambassador.
Southern Africa Litigation Centre and other groups submitted a briefing paper to South African President Jacob Zuma, outlining the legal implications of recognising General Silva.

Bangladesh Deports 19 Rohingyas to Burma

Rohingyas were spreading out from the slum in Kutubpal to different parts of Bangladesh in search of livelihoods.
(YANGON, Myanmar Mizzima) -
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sent back 18 Rohingyas to Burma on Tuesday, according to Bangladeshi media.
The Rohingyas had been detained at different locations in Cox's Bazar, according to a named commanding officer of BGB 17 Battalion.
