Oregon Guard Soldiers Will Head to Iraq

Although this is the 224 Engineer Company's first deployment many of the Soldiers were part of B Company, 52 Engineers, formerly headquartered out of Albany.

(SALEM) - More than 100 Soldiers from the 224 ENGINEER Company of Albany Oregon, have received an order to mobilize in June 2007 supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Guard Spokesman Mike Briabish says the unit's mission is to support the Iraqi people through the construction and reconstruction of roads.

224 Engineer Company has been on alert but officially received a mobilization order earlier this week.

Although this is the 224 Engineer Company's first deployment many of the Soldiers were apart of B Company, 52 Engineers, formerly headquartered out of Albany.

B Company, 52 Engineers previously deployed to Iraq in Feb. 2003.

Wanta bet return of Oregon NG-troops will be "delayed" ? U.S.-might now becoming "might be" rather than ready "royalism"-tool for conquest.
