BREAKING NEWS Crashes Close Both Directions of I-5 in Salem and Grants Pass

The Interstate is closed in both directions between mileposts 258 and 256, and also at mile post 71.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon State Police in Salem report that Interstate 5 northbound and southbound are blocked in both directions by a crash involving two commercial vehicles.

There is no more information for release, we'll bring it to you when we have it.

Oregon State Police are covering a second crash involving two commercial trucks in Grants Pass.

This crash also has Interstate 5 northbound and southbound reported blocked in both directions near milepost 71.

This is slightly north of Grants Pass on I-5, 5 miles South of Wolf Creek. At 11:43 a.m., Oregon Highway officials estimated the delay to last between 20 minutes and 2 hours.

Northbound traffic is in temporary closure. Southbound traffic slow lane is closed.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.

Drive with caution.
