(SALEM) - An immigration rights rally in downtown Salem on Sunday drew thousands.

The rally began at 2:00 PM, and a march through the streets around the Capitol Mall started after 3:00 PM.

Organizers say the rally's focus was on opposing the proposed legislation cracking down of illegal immigration, immigration reform, creating a path toward legal citizenship, unifying immigrant families, and protecting immigrant workers.
