Salem Structure Fire Considered Suspicious

(SALEM) - Salem Fire Investigators and Salem Police Arson Detectives sahy an early morning fire was Arson.

Saturday at 02:42 AM, a first alarm assignment responded to a Structure Fire at 2580 Phipps Lane NE (Link 1).

Fire Spokesman Bill Holmstrom says that as firefighters arrived on the scene, "they had flames shooting from the rear of this single story vacant residence. The fire was contained to the rear portion of the structure by firefighters."

He says the cause of the fire is under investigation by Salem Fire investigators and consider suspicious at this time. The loss is estimated at $4,000 ($4,000 Structure & $0 Contents). There were no injuries reported.
