TSA Holding Forum on Salem TSO Jobs

On June 6th, Delta Air Lines will begin operating two daily flights between Salem, Oregon, and Salt Lake City, Utah.

(SALEM) - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is launching an effort to recruit and hire part-time Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to support new air service in Salem.

TSA will hire part-time (20 hours per week) TSOs at Salem’s McNary Field.

TSO's perform a variety of duties related to providing security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft.

They are responsible for identifying dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and/or on passengers; and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.

The TSA will be hosting an information forum for people interested in learning more about the TSA and this opportunity on Thursday, at 6:00 PM at the Mission Mill Museum, 1331 Mill Street, SE, Salem. Call for seating reservation (503) 889-3069.

Pay starts at $13.30 per hour - plus benefits (Includes 17.63% locality pay); No previous experience is required.

Minimum Requirements: U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National, High school diploma, GED or equivalent, English proficiency, Pass a background/credit check.
