(DEPOE BAY, Ore. ) - Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested a Salem man after responding to the report of a fight in progress at Rocky Creek State Park in Depoe Bay Easter Day.

Deputy Karl Vertner says he and another deputy responded to the park and found both parties had separated.

Upon further investigation, Vertner says 22-year-old Marcelino Segrero-Campos went to Newport to visit his son and ex-wife for the holiday.

After shopping in Newport with his ex-wife and son, Campos agreed to take her home, but instead he drove her to the state park against her will Vertner said.

His ex-wife was able to contact friends who attempted to assist her and the child, but were assaulted by Campos during the incident.

An Oregon State Police Trooper arrived and arrested Campos for Driving Under the Influence.

Campos is lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for Second Degree Kidnapping, Fourth Degree Assault and Driving Under the Influence. His bail is set at $65,000.00.
