(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. ) - Klamath Falls police shot and killed a man Friday night after he had taken an 11-month-old infant hostage.

Police say 27-year-old Jesse Lee Johnson, told officers he was drunk and high on meth, and was going to kill the boy with a knife.

After negotiating with the man for about a half an hour, Johnson walked out of the home with a knife to the baby’s throat.

A Klamath Falls policeman shot Johnson in the head. He later died at the hospital. The infant was not injured in the incident.

The officer was placed on leave, while the shooting is under investigation by the Klamath County Major Crimes Team.

two of the worst drugs available. This is obvious to anyone who can read. Meth is killer any way it's used and med technology give the addict seven years to self destruct unless circumstances intervene as in this article. Talk to the marijuana doctor and learn to play guitar.
