(KEIZER, Ore.) - Officers from the Keizer Police Department responded to the 8500 block of Windsor Island Road North Tuesday at 2:15 PM on a report of a possible deceased subject that was found near this location.

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns says responding officers confirmed the finding was indeed that of a deceased person, it is now under investigation as a suspicious death. Kuhns says cases like this draw numerous resources.

"The investigation is being conducted by a multi-agency team, the Marion County District Attorney’s Office, the Marion County Medical Examiner’s Office, and members of the Oregon State Police Crime Laboratory."

Very limited details are being released at this time due to the nature and sensitivity of the ongoing investigation, according to Kuhns.

"The deceased subject has not been identified. Additionally, information about the cause and or manner of death is unknown at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 25th at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Clackamas."

Kuhns says more information about the ongoing investigation will be released as it becomes available.
