Overturned Truck Closes St. Johns Bridge in Both DirectionsSalem-News.com Traffic ReportOfficials now say the bridge will be closed until at least by 9:30 PM.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The St. Johns Bridge is closed in both directions following a 3:30 PM crash involving an overturned truck, according to Oregon Department of Transportation officials. The truck was a semi carrying a load. The bridge will remain closed while work crews right the semi and clear the bridge of debris. They say there is no estimated time for reopening the bridge at this point. Motorists that are headed for the St. Johns Bridge should instead use Interstate 5 to Lombard Street during the closure. There were no details on the actual crash, and it was not clear if there were any related injuries. Officials now say the bridge will be closed until at least by 9:30 PM.
