(GOLD BEACH, Ore.) - Police on the Oregon coast are looking for an 83-year old man who was last seen around noon on Saturday.

Family members of William Glenn Boyer say he had left the family home on Ocean View Drive in the Harbor area at about noon on Saturday, April 21st.

These family members say they became concerned that Mr. Boyer, who needs medicine on a daily basis, had not returned.

Mr. Boyer told family members that he was enroute to Marine Corps League meeting at the Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Old County Road in Brookings.

The investigation reveals that Mr. Boyer did not arrive at the church. Family and friends have been contacted and no one has seen him.

Mr. Boyer is described as 83-years of age, 5 foot 10 inches, 200 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing black-jogging pants with white stripe down leg, dark gray jacket. He needs/uses a cane to walk. He has a tattoo of “Irene” on upper right shoulder, visible scar between eyes above bridge of nose.

Mr Boyer was driving a 1996 Ford Windstar van, dark green in color, with Oregon license plate WHQ-846. There are several patriotic stickers on the van.

Lt. Dennis Dennis Dinsmore of the Curry County Sheriff's Office says local, state and nationwide alerts have been placed in law enforcement systems listing Mr. Boyer as a Missing/Endangered Person.

Law enforcement is working with the family in an effort to determine where Mr. Boyer might have gone. Sheriff Mark Metcalf of the Curry County Sheriff's Office asks anyone who may know the whereabouts of Mr. Boyer, to please contact the Curry County Sheriff's Office at 541-247-3242, or your local law enforcement agency.
