New Telecommuting Website Enables Job Seekers to Rate and Review EmployersSalem-News.com Business ReportThe site helps people find legitimate work at home jobs and offers social networking.
(VACAVILLE, Calif.) - Telecommuting is a growing trend as more employees look to work from home to save on commuting costs, spend more time with loved ones or to pursue job opportunities that would otherwise not be available to them in their region. A new web site, TeleCommuteReview.com has recently launched that offers people the ability to rate and review companies who employ telecommuter and socialize with other people who work from home using a social networking feature that is similar to the popular Facebook Website. Additionally, employers can post free job advertisements. When searching for work at home or telecommute job opportunities on the internet, many job seekers are overwhelmed with scams and get rich quick schemes. The purpose of TeleCommuteReview.com is to become a premiere, trusted resource for people who have a legitimate interest in telecommuting so that they can identify which companies offer employment to match their job skills. The site will be very receptive to its user base and take into account suggestions for adding features and improving the website. On other jobs sites such as Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com, the main focus is for people searching for jobs that they will go to in person so people looking for telecommute jobs are at a disadvantage as the offerings are usually limited. Websites like Craigslist.org and Backpage.com, that offer free or low cost job postings for employers, usually do have more telecommute jobs listed, however they tend to attract companies, or individuals posing as companies, that are less than reputable and who sometimes to try make applicants pay fees or have them work for a week and then do not pay the worker and cut off contact. These sites offer no recourse for interested job seekers to identify which companies are legitimate and worth applying to. The rating and review system of TeleCommuteReview.com, where anyone can submit a company to our directory to be rated and reviewed by site users, is meant to expose companies that treat applicants or employees poorly, that fail to make payments or that ask for upfront fees from applicants.
