Serious Crash Injured Three Near MolallaSalem-News.comOregon State Police troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation.
(MOLALLA, Ore.) - A Stayton-area woman was seriously injured Sunday morning when the motorcycle she was riding on was struck by a passenger car on Highway 213 about three miles south of the Highway 211 junction. Two other people, including her husband who was operating the motorcycle, were injured. Police say Sunday at approximately 11:30 AM, a 1979 Volkswagon Jetta driven by 22-year old Jennifer L. Hughes of Oregon City, was southbound on Highway 213 near milepost 20 following a pickup. The pickup reportedly was preparing to right into a driveway when Hughes was unable to stop and swerved into the northbound lane where there was a group of five motorcycles. The Volkswago Jetta struck the third motorcycle of the group, a 1984 Honda Interstate, and ejected both occupants. The motorcycle operator, 55-year old Robert L. Heuberger of Stayton, received non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Oregon Health Sciences University. His wife/passenger, 52-year old Rosemary Heuberger was seriously injured and transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Oregon Health Sciences University. She is reported to be in intensive care. Both were wearing protective headgear. No other motorcycles were struck. Hughes received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Silverton Hospital. Her 3-year old daughter was not injured. Oregon State Police troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Molalla Police Department, Molalla Fire Department, and Woodburn Fire Department assisted at the scene. The highway was closed in both directions about one hour.

I think that they should take her license away cause this is the second car crash she has been into and with her 3 year old daughter at that. I hope the investigation proves that she should not have her license or her daughter at that fact! [Return to Top]Leave a comment on this story.
