(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Police are investigating a fatal two vehicle crash one mile east of the Estacada High School, at 33601 SE Coupland Road. It happened around 12:00 noon.

Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office identified the deceased driver as 72-year old Roberta L. Yates of Estacada.

"On scene investigators report that Roberta Yates was in operation of her 1986, white, Cadillac, Fleetwood, four door sedan - eastbound on SE Coupland Road at the time of the collision."

Strovink says that at the time of this crash, Roberta Yates was transporting a passenger in the right front passenger seat, identified as a relative of hers named Justin Yates, who is 15-years old. The young man also resides at the same address as Roberta Yates, in Estacada.

Justin Yates was injured in this crash and transported while conscious and breathing by American Medical Response to Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital, in Portland.

Preliminary reports from investigators reveal that a westbound vehicle on SE Coupland Road, described as a gray 1988 Ford Taurus station wagon, strayed from the eastbound lane and traveled into the opposing lane of travel and struck the vehicle operated by Roberta Yates.

The driver of this westbound Ford, Taurus is identified as 17-year old Micah Feil of Estacada.

Strovink says Micah Feil was airlifted by Life Flight to Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital in Portland. It is reported that Micah Feil was conscious and breathing at the time of his medical evacuation from the crash scene. Feil had a valid operator's license.

Crash Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office are on the scene. Strovink says they are conducting this in-depth fatal traffic crash investigation.

This traffic crash investigation continues by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
