Gangs, Graffiti Topics For North Salem Crime Prevention Council Meeting

Salem gang and graffiti problems are reaching levels like those of the late 1990's.

(SALEM) - The Central Crime Prevention Council meeting for the north area of Salem will be held Thursday at the Salem Senior Center,1055 Erixon St. NE, at 6:30 PM for residents of the Northgate, Highland, and Grant neighborhood areas.

The Crime Prevention Council will provide an avenue for residents to come together and interact with police regarding issue of crime and public safety.

Through education, training and interaction, this new meeting opportunity will help to establish lines of communication to be able to decrease crime, the fear of crime, and lessen the chances for crime to occur.

A special presentation on the topics of gangs and graffiti will be conducted.
