Bimbo Revolution I II & IIIPoetry by Luke Easter Salem-News.com
Every celebrity has a role in helping preserve dignity for women.
(CLEVELAND) - Americans need to re secure their moral foundation. There are positive elements in society and they need to be moved to the forefront. There is just too much smut sliming its way out of Hollywood and into the hearts and minds of easily influenced American youth and young adults. It isn't just Hollywood and film, it is also the music industry, the Internet, and more. Billboards are frequently used tools of exploitation. Laurence Fishbourne's 19-year old daughter is going to star in a sex tape like Kim, Paris & Kendra, so her career will take off & she'll be famous. Do you think she has any idea what that means? When these are the actions of public figures, followed and emulated by young Americans, you are handing a recipe for pure disaster. Kendra said she will use her sex tape to educate her unborn son. Right, not the BIBLE, Sesame Street, Barney, Mickey or Minnie, Popeye or Olive Oil, her sex tape. Why is the world going to sh*t? Because we eat so damn much of it that's why. It is possible for all of us to see a brighter day, for women and minorities to receive the human respect they deserve. As Bob Marley said: 'No Woman No Cry'.
Bimbo Revolution I II & III
According to the bible what is the fastest way to become an eternal fatality?
Soaps, shows like Gossip Girls & Desperate Housewives,
Yes, it’s sent alright but definitely not from the kingdom above,
Instead of demonstrating procedure for legal advice or dispensing meds,
It's not just pornography but all of these crap filled programs too,
What parent tells their daughter a good time is only found in bars?
Actually and sadly there are some, “parents and friends” who will,
Exactly where do men and women get this idea suggesting it’s okay?
Neither are shows like, “Charlie’s Angels” an answer to the solution,
Al Pacino hits Diane Keaton knocking her down in “Godfather II, ”
Then there are the so-called do-good shows like Law & Order SUV,
Producers, directors, writers it’s time to lose filth and dirt,
Yes! It is so sickening to hear battered women sadly singing this song,
Abuse in every country is running rampant to an all time high,
The entertainment industry needs to be shepherds to God’s sheep,
What about feature length films when going to the big screen?
Hey! Where are all the Christians, what is with the Saints?
Music with lyrics preaching murder, racism and excessive hate,
As Christians we have to be particular about what we watch,
Nothing is funny and laughable for the minority on the other end,
Too often people place an importance only on what visuals they see,
Although there are many gripes here is one last disturbing thing,
This is 2010 and here are prime examples of exactly what I mean,
So, I’m not talking about a woman with her cheeks & boobs hanging out,
That’s right, it’s not only in what we hear and see just take another look,
Question? People will say, “what in the world were they thinking?”
Now a push by parent watch groups about the violence in video games,
Finally, just so there is no misunderstanding everyone needs to know,
The fact that the guy in the video is her movie producer & that he’s gay,
June 2010 here we go again, another edition, The Bimbo Revolution II,
Although there are many revelations just one more then it is time to go,
Just because this crap flourishes don’t think our Lord is not annoyed,
Oh no! Just when I thought it couldn’t become more sinful & stupid wait,
(Sadly) by Luke Easter
Luke Easter is a poet who writes about things that are very close to the heart of Salem-News.com. Another former U.S. Marine, Luke heals the world with an approach that reaches people on a different level, one known for centuries, yet too often forgotten in the one we live in. We live in a world of social & economic injustice. The main reason for founding America in the first place was to relieve the oppression of the King of England. Patrick Henry said it best, “give me liberty or give me death.” And yet, all too often death seems to be the only way out. Why is there such a high suicide rate especially among teens, in the land of the free & the home of the brave? What makes headlines? Good news? Ha! More depressing stories than anything else. I feel poetry takes an edge off the hurt of bad news while still delivering it but in a, “glitzy” sort of way. Giving a different perspective. Kind of like slap in the face as opposed to a knife in the back. At least with the slap you’ll live to see another day and you will know whom it’s from. I wasn’t here for the beginning of the world but at 59, I just might be here for the end. Even though it’s still a knife, rhyme poetry helps to dull the blade. And that’s my job.
