(EUGENE, Ore.) - A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a series of armed bank robberies in Eugene, Oregon between March and August 2007.

Investigators believe the “Bandana Bandit”, so named for covering his face with a bandana, is responsible for at least three bank robberies from March 2nd to August 20th. Upon entering the bank, the “Bandana Bandit” displays a handgun and verbally demands money from victimized bank tellers.

The FBI says the “Bandana Bandit” is thus considered “ARMED & DANGEROUS”, and is believed to be a Caucasian male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, further described as six feet tall, lean, with a pocked marked face and a low, gravely voice. He is known to wear a dark hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, sunglasses, and dark bandana.

Investigators say the three robberies include the Umpqua Bank at 1175 Valley River Drive in Eugene, which was robbed March 2nd, the Liberty Bank, 3540 West 11th Avenue in Eugene, which was robbed March 20th, and the Liberty Bank at 3540 West 11th Avenue in Eugene, which was robbed August 20th.
