Tanning Salon Employee Arrested for Sex Abuse

The man was arrested for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with a customer‏ on Halloween day.

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - McMinnville Police say a tanning salon employee was arrested on sex abuse charges for an incident that reportedly happened on October 31st of this year.

Captain Dennis Marks with McMinnville Police says 22-year old Michael Ray Retone of Carlton, an employee of the Bronze Bodies Tanning Salon at 220 NE 7th Street in McMinnville, was arrested an a charge of third-degree Sex Abuse for the innapropriate touching of a customer.

"The 18-year old victim stated that the incident occurred on October 31st 2008 while she was in a private room and still undressed. She had completed a spray-on tanning application when Michael Retone walked into the room. He insisted that he needed to 'wipe down' the spray substance to ensure a good tan."

During this contact, Retone is accused of having fondled the woman's breasts and vaginal area, Marks said.

Retone was lodged in the Yamhill County Correctional Facility pending arraignment for 2 counts of third-degree Sex Abuse, the bail on those charges is $10,000.00. Marks says Rentone was also charged with Invasion of Privacy, and the bail on that charge is $5000.

"Information obtained during the investigation indicates that there may be other victims," Marks said.

"We are asking that anyone else who may have been victimized by Mr. Retone or has any information related to this incident call the McMinnville Police Department at (503)434-7307."

It is important to remember that a person charged with a crime is not guilty until convicted.

Dont these salons have locks on the doors? (Yes, i know) Dont you think he would have been arrested that evening if it were serious as it sounds? Why arent questions in his defense being asked?
