(LOS ANGELES) - People who have always wished they could have minor face surgery may be in luck with a new procedure being performed by R. Patrick Abergel, M.D., a A Los Angeles Cosmetic Surgeon is performing amazing chin surgeries for people in 45 minutes.

Dr. Abergel has revolutionized cosmetic surgery with an innovation called "Facial Minisculpture".

"Facial Minisculpture is a non-invasive cosmetic surgery procedure designed to create a striking jaw line. It is a more refined form of liposuction which is performed with instruments that are significantly smaller than those used for traditional liposuction."

He says it is particularly suited for patients whose skin is beginning to show signs of sagging, but who are too young, or would prefer not to undergo a complete facelift.

Abergel begins Facial Minisculpture by first using an ultrasound to soften the fat tissue in the face. Then, after a local anesthetic is used to numb the area, a small puncture about 1mm in size is made under the jaw line.

The doctor then uses his own specially designed tool, roughly the size of a blunt needle, to re-sculpt the jaw line. This technique protects the blood vessels and nerves and as a result the patient experiences no bruising and almost no swelling.

He says the entire surgical procedure takes about 45 minutes and the recovery time is minimal and since sedation is not used, patients are able to drive themselves home after the procedure.

"To add to the allure of this quick and easy procedure, a patient can have the cosmetic surgery on a Friday and return to work on Monday," Abergel said.
