Two Coalition Soldiers Injured During Engagement in Zabul Province

(KANDAHAR, Afghanistan) - Two Coalition soldiers were wounded early Monday when their convoy came under insurgent attack while supporting an ISAF operation 11 kilometres east of Mizen, in Zabul province.

One coalition vehicle was struck by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and in the subsequent small arms engagement, four other vehicles sustained damage.

The soldiers were immediately evacuated to an ISAF medical facility for treatment. There are no reports of any insurgent casualties.
