Repatriation Ceremony Held For Crew of MI-26 Helicopter Crash

(KANDAHAR, Afghanistan) - On Friday, December 8th, an official repatriation ceremony was held at Kandahar Airfield for the civilian crew of the MI-26 helicopter, which crashed in northern Kandahar province on Sunday, December 3rd.

Regional Command-South (RC-S) Political Advisor, Ambassador Gajus Scheltema and the Deputy Commander of RC-S, Colonel Tim Bevis were in attendance.

A ceremony was also held at Kabul Airfield for personnel wishing to pay their respects. Representatives from the contract company, Dyncorps, attended the ceremony along with Brigadier Scheffer, the Dutch Contingency Commander and Yvonne Van Stassen, the deputy Dutch ambassador.
