13 Salem School Busses Burned in 2-Alarm Fire (UPDATE)Salem-News.com12/18/2006 10:30 AM Update: Damage estimate is $400,000 and there are a total of 13 buses that received damage.
(SALEM) - Salem Fire Department received a call for a commercial fire at 998 Hawthorne Ave NE, Salem-Keizer School District Bus Garage at 5:56 AM on Sunday, December 17th. Captain Robin Chitwood stated, "When we arrived we had multiple busses on fire. We made aggressive attacks on both ends of the line of buses." A second alarm was dispatched at 6:00 AM bringing more fire apparatus and fire fighters to the scene. It took Fire Fighters approximately 20-minutes to have the fire under control. 7 busses were destroyed, but a total of 11 received damage. No injuries were reported. A damage estimate is currently not available. Fire investigators are on the scene.

A pallet fire was discovered by a security officer behind Best Buy, across I-5 in Aug. How many children will be with out a way to get to school, unless their parents again who have to come up with the money to get their children to school because some one wanted to distroy something good.
