Fatal Crash Closes Highway 101 North of Seal Rock

Police say the serious crash that halted traffic between Newport and Waldport on Oregon's coastal highway, claimed the life of one person.

(SEAL ROCK, Ore.) - Oregon State Police report that a serious injury four vehicle crash on Highway 101 north of Seal Rock has Highway 101 closed in both directions.

State troopers now say that the crash on Highway 101 north of Seal Rock near milepost 149 is a fatal traffic crash - one person died at an area hospital - more information will be released Sunday.

The highway is expected to remain closed in both directions for an unknown period of time.
