Be Aware! Road Construction Projects Could Delay Your Commute

(SALEM) - The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of some road construction projects that are set to begin over the next few days.

Please make a note of these projects, and if your commute takes you through one of these workzones allow extra time to get to your destination.

Liberty St SE - North of Rural Ave SE – Tuesday Only – 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Liberty Street SE will be reduced to one lane of traffic north of Rural Ave SE where Liberty Street SE splits off of Commercial Street SE. This lane closure is to repair guardrail at this location.

Kuebler Blvd SE – Between Commercial St SE and I-5 overpass – Tuesday Only – 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Kuebler Blvd SE, from Commercial St SE to I-5, will have traffic lanes narrowed and shifted at several locations for coring of the roadway surface.

13th St SE – Between Waller St SE and Lee St SE – Thursday Only – 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Lane closure for soil sampling.

Delmar Dr N Between River Rd N and Jack Dr N 2/15 through 2/22 – 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Lane closure with flaggers for sewer service repair

25th St NE Between D St NE and Englewood Ave NE 2/19 through 2/26 – 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Street closure for sewer service repair.
