Elmer's Pancake House in Beaverton Robbed at Gun Point (VIDEO)

After robbing the business, the suspect fled on foot, and was gone before police arrived.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - An armed robbery suspect was captured on cameras today at Elmer's Pancake House on NW Waterhouse Avenue in Beaverton. Detective Pam Yazzolino with Beaverton Police, says just before 7:30 a.m., a lone male who was armed, walked into the video poker area from an outside door.

"He displayed a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied, giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash."

Yazzolino says that after robbing the business, the suspect fled on foot, and was gone before police arrived.

It's unknown how or in what direction he fled upon departing the business.

The suspect is described as male, five foot ten to six feet in height, with a medium build.

He was wearing black pants and shoes, black gloves with yellow tips and a drab olive green coat.

As the video below shows, the suspect kept his face and head covered during the incident. but police still hope the video may allow someone to identify the suspect.

Yazzolino says the ongoing investigation prevents the release of any further details at this time.
