Portland Police Investigate Gang Style Shooting

Police say the victim is not cooperating in the investigation.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Police Officers responded Thursday night to callers reporting that gunshots were being fired in the area of North Williams Avenue and North Russett Street.

Detective Mary Wheat with the Portland Police Bureau, says officers arriving on the scene located 21-year old Rolando Ramirez inside a residence in the 7600 Block of N. Williams Avenue, suffering from one gunshot wound.

"Mr. Ramirez was transported to Emanuel Hospital and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury. At this time, the victim is not cooperating in the investigation and no one has been taken into custody."

She says the investigation is ongoing and this incident has been assigned to detectives.
