Salem Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

The suspect is male, possibly white, 5'2"-5'4", medium build, wearing a grey hooded coat over a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Salem Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at about 7:00 PM on January 31st 2008 at the Plaid Pantry store located at 1504 Broadway Street NE.

The Plaid Pantry Corporation is also offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Lt Dave Okada with Salem Police says the suspect is described as male, possibly white, 5'2"-5'4", medium build, wearing a grey hooded coat over a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes.

"The suspect entered the store alone, told the clerk he had a gun then demanded money. No weapon was ever seen," Okada said.

"The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, and anybody with information about him is asked to contact Detective Dan Tallan at 503-588-6050, extension 7132."
