(PORTLAND, Ore.) - TALKERS Magazine names Thom Hartmann #10 on the "Heavy Hundred," its list of the 100 most important radio talk show hosts in America, and the only progressive host in the top ten.

In recent weeks, THE THOM HARTMANN PROGRAM began airing in afternoon drive time on New York City's WWRL-AM 1600 which now springboards the show into the nation's top radio market.

The program is heard in seven of the top 10 markets and 17 of the top 25, and on over 100 commercial and non-commercial stations nationwide.

In its eighth year, THE THOM HARTMANN PROGRAM airs live daily, NOON - 3:00 p.m., ET and is distributed to radio stations nationally by Dial-Global and Pacifica and via XM/Sirius Satellite radio.

Radio stations in Africa and the United Kingdom now carry the program, and he's also simulcast on TV through the Dish Network channel 9415 FSTV.

Thom Hartmann is a New York Times best selling, four-time Project Censored award-winning author with twenty books currently in print in over a dozen languages on five continents.

One of the things I like about Thom Hartman is that he is really polite and kind. I think he works on being a good person and that after all is the one area of life where we can all make change happen. I have just ordered his book, Walking Away the Blues.
