Nine People Injured in Collision Near Silverton

(Silverton) - Nine people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Silverton Saturday afternoon, just after 3:30 PM.

Investigators with the Marion County Sheriff's Office say the crash happened at Hazelgreen Rd/Brush Creek Rd, in Silverton.

A total of nine people were involved in the accident. Seven of those were children. Deputies say eight people were transported to both Salem Hospital and Silverton Hospital.

At this time, investigators say it appears that no major injury was suffered in the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
