(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - An escaped state inmate from a work crew was captured tonight by deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. They say that at 6:00 PM, 29-year old Dustin Nyberg was located by an interagency team, passed-out inside his father's residence, located at 10145 SE B Street in Milwaukie. Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says Nyberg's alleged stolen vehicle, used to facilitate his escape, was recovered a short distance from this residence on a side street in Milwaukie. Nyberg was arrested without incident, transported and lodged in the Clackamas County Jail for the charge of Escape. Nyberg is expected to be returned to the Columbia River Correctional Facility tomorrow. Strovink says the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received information shortly after Dustin Tyler Nyberg's escape at 1:30 PM. He reportedly stole an automobile from an employee who was working at a Columbia County Food Bank and fled the scene as an escapee. The Columbia County Correctional Facility alerted the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office of Nyberg's walk-away and theft of a vehicle from the minimal security work program at the Food Bank, Strovink said.
