Tyler Technologies Signs Contract to Provide Provide MUNIS Financial Management Software For Salem-Keizer Public SchoolsSalem-News.com Education ReportThe contract, which includes a full suite of financial and human resource software, is valued at more than $1.4 million.
(SALEM) - Tyler Technologies, Inc. based in Dallas, Texas announced Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Salem-Keizer Public Schools in to provide its MUNIS financial management software and related professional services to the district. The pact gives Salem-Keizer Public Schools the distinction of being the first school district in the state of Oregon to select Tyler's MUNIS Enterprise Resource Planning software for its accounting needs. Richard Peterson, Jr., president of Tyler's MUNIS division, said, "Tyler is pleased to reach this significant milestone in the history of its MUNIS ERP system. Entering the K-12 school market in Oregon symbolizes our continued growth in the western United States and confirms our commitment to the region. We foresee a successful long-term partnership with Salem-Keizer Public Schools." The district serves nearly 40,000 students and has approximately 4,000 full-time employees, making it the second largest district in the state. It is comprised of elementary, middle and high schools, as well as charter schools and secondary alternative programs.
