WANTED! Predatory Registered Sex Offender At Large

(SALEM) - Oregon State Police and Coos County Community Corrections are asking for the public's help in locating a non-compliant, wanted predatory registered sex offender. The man has known ties to the North Bend/Coos Bay, Portland, and Columbia County areas.

44-year old Tod Albert Raymond Harvey is a potential armed career criminal, according to the Oregon State Police, he has been a registered sex offender since 1992 and was designated as a predatory sex offender in October 2000.

He is on absconded status through the Department of Corrections and has a statewide felony warrant for Parole Violation. Harvey`s last known address was in the 76000 block of Crannog Road in North Bend, Oregon, and he was last seen in October 2005.

Harvey was convicted in 1985 on sodomy, rape, kidnapping, assault, and menacing charges out of Curry County involving a known adult female victim. He also has a 2003 felony conviction in Columbia County for failing to register as a sex offender.

Additionally, Harvey was also a suspect in a 1983 violent attack of a stranger, a female Florence-area convenience store clerk, that was not prosecuted because the statute of limitations had run-out before he was identified as a suspect.

Tod Harvey is described as a white male, 5'10", 210 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes and a moustache. He wears glasses and has a scar on his right forearm.

He may be operating a white 1979 Toyota pickup, Oregon license KRG 860. The vehicle is registered to Harvey and is displaying 2007 vehicle license tags.

I have been talking to this person in the coos co. jail for a couple of months
