(SALEM, Ore.) - Le Parkour meets trials riding. What's taking place today on two wheels is scarcely short of that. I admit that I'm out of the loop with all the latest motorcycle trends, but the advances in recent years of this motorized human art form have certainly been record setting.

Applying the technology of today to an already good idea of yesterday rarely fails, and today's trials bikes; motorcycles with super high ground clearance specifically designed to climb over logs and rocks and the like.

They get vertical and horizontal in ways that a lot of old school riders might never have even imagined.

The sport is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, though trials riding is no stranger to the U.S. or many other places.

It involves riding super light motorcycles that have little to no seat, as the rider is always standing on the pegs and applying body english to complete different types of climbs and stunts.

Julien is a newcomer in the Red Bull family and the Scott Team. It is easy to see how and why he made the cut.
