UPDATE: Oregon Authorities Release Kim Family Search Investigation Results

Included in the report is a first hand account of Kati Kim's perspective of how the situation unfolded and the subsequent survival and rescue of Kati and her two girls.

(GRANTS PASS) - Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger announced this morning that the Kim Family Search Review investigation has been completed and the report is being delivered to the Josephine County Sheriff today.

Three weeks ago The Josephine County Sheriff's Office asked the Sheriff's Association to conduct a review of the search.

President of the Association, Marion County Sheriff Raul Ramirez, asked Evinger, the chair of the Search and Rescue Advisory Council,to head the review.

More that 40 interviews and hundreds of pages of documents were examined and summarized into a 150 page report.

There were findings that are expressed in the report as well as some meaningful recommendations.

A full time line of the incident is included with a graphical representation of key events.

Included in the report is a first hand account of Kati Kim's perspective of how the situation unfolded and the subsequent survival and rescue of her and her two girls.

Many agencies and individuals participated in the investigation.

The investigation team would like to thank those who provided information that was necessary to conduct a thorough review.

The information requested was provided in a very cooperative and open manner.

The consistent theme with those involved in the search was a desire to learn from the incident and to improve their skills and procedures.

hindsight won't bring him back. A tragedy was averted and no one wished otherwise. I am sorry for the Kim family and greatful it wasn't worse. Thank you all who helped.
