14-Year Old Lebanon Boy Found Dead in Vacant Lot (AUDIO)Salem-News.comThe death is classified as suspicious by police at this time, although detectives report there were no obvious signs or cause of death at this stage of the investigation.
(LEBANON, Ore.) - Children in Lebanon today found the body of a 14-year old boy face down in a large vacant lot at the intersection of 9th and C Streets in Lebanon. Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller reports his detectives are investigating the death of 14-year old Quentin Alexander Thacker of Lebanon. Mueller says that today at about 12:30 PM, neighborhood children discovered the body of Quentin Alexander Thacker in the large vacant lot at 9th and C Streets in Lebanon. "Sheriff's detectives and members of the Linn County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Post conducted an extensive search of the area looking for possible evidence," Mueller said. The death is classified as suspicious by police at this time, although Mueller says detectives report there were no obvious signs or cause of death at this stage of the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Lebanon Police also responded to the scene and their School Resource Officer was informing Lebanon School District officials of the boy's death. At this time, the case remains under investigation. Mueller says further information regarding this tragic event will be released as the case develops.
