Portland Police Bureau Cold Case Unit Makes Arrest

Four additional suspects were previously arrested and convicted for this murder.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Detectives from the Portland Police Bureau's Cold Case Unit arrested 31 year-old Jason Darnell Turner on Friday in a 1998 Murder case.

Detective Mary Wheat with Portland Police, says Turner was arrested in connection with the murder of Jerry Michael Hartman who was killed at his residence on January 23, 1998.

Turner was charged with one count of Murder and is being held in a downtown Multnomah County jail.

This murder occurred at Hartman's residence located at 4224 SE 91st Avenue at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Wheat says four additional suspects were previously arrested and convicted for this murder.

Turner will be arraigned in a Multnomah County Courthouse later today.
