(SALEM, Ore.) - Lights... cameras, action! A Hollywood themed birthday party this week in Salem celebrated a different aspect of movie super stardom.

The grand red carpet was laid out for the 70th birthday party of Patricia Naas of West Salem, who is known for her role with the Salem Library Foundation..

Patricia's daughter is Susan Hartwick, wife of Joe Hartwick, President of feature film production for 20th Century Fox.

Susan grew up in the Salem area, and graduated from McNary High School. When asked her thoughts, Susan said, "My mom is as active as a teenager. She golfs, dances and enjoys the Pentacle & Elsinore Theatres as well as First Wednesday. She makes 70 the new 50!"

Rebecca Maitland of the Reed Opera House in Salem, says the event celebrating this mother carried, "A really powerful message" - and one that you don't hear often enough.

"It was a fantastic, fun night with spotlights, strobes and original paintings of famous actors."

In fact, she described the evening as mainstream Hollywood in reverse.

"You could feel the celebration for all mothers, it was fun treating her like a rock star".

The party for Patricia Naas was held at the classic Reed Opera House in Salem which Maitland oversees.

"Organizers of this special event say a round of thanks to Susan's siblings Randy Naas of West Salem, and Kimberly Herr of Wilsonville.
