(HEPPNER, Ore. ) - U.S. Highway 395 is closed south of Pilot Rock between Nye Junction near mile point 23 and Ukiah Junction near mile point 50.

Blowing snow is limiting visibility to near zero in some areas. A crashed vehicle is also blocking the roadway. Oregon Highway 207 is also closed west of Heppner between mile points 80 and 82.

Oregon Department of Transportation crews are working to clear snow off of the roadways, but these routes are not expected to be open soon due to the severe winter storm passing through the area.

Motorists are advised to stay home if possible as other highway sections may be impacted by the storm. If you have to travel, ODOT advises you to plan ahead and be prepared for extreme weather conditions and possible delays.

Travelers can get updates on road condition, closures and delays by calling 511 or (800) 977-6368 in Oregon or (503)588-2941 outside of Oregon, and on the web at TripCheck.com.
