Browning Ave SE Re-Open After Power Line ExplosionKevin Hays Salem-News.comBrowning Ave SE is now clear.
(SALEM, Ore. ) - A high voltage line was dangling over Browning Ave SE at Alderbrook Ave in South Salem this morning. Browning Ave SE at Alderbrook Ave is now open after Salem firefighters closed the road because a high voltage power line was dangling over Browning Ave. PGE crews have fixed the problem line and the area is now clear. Residents in the area heard a loud explosion around 8:30 AM. Some said the explosion shook their homes. No injuries were reported. Salem Police and firefighters also responded to a emergency medical aid on Browning Ave. Salem police say a man was drunk and having diabetic problems. He was found by a pssing officer on laying in a driveway just off Browning Ave. The man is expected to be ok.
