(EMMETT, Idaho) - Family members say the woman, Linda Mildred Cook, has a new medical condition that includes acute confusion. They believe that she may be driving to Molalla, Oregon where her daughter lives. According to Gem County, Idaho Sheriff's Office, Linda Cook left her residence unexpectedly July 4th at approximately 5:00 PM in a bluish-gray 2000 Ford Windstar van displaying Idaho license 55KCE with "2007" expiration stickers. She failed to return home. Information indicates Mrs. Cook used a credit card to make a withdrawal from a La Grande-area US Bank on July 5th. Linda Cook is described as a white female, 5'3" tall, 130 lbs, with short brown hair beginning to gray and blue eyes. She wears glasses. Family members advised she is not used to driving at night. The van she is driving may have a handicap parking placard hanging from the rearview mirror. A route of travel may be westbound on Interstate 84 to the Portland area and then south to Molalla. On Sunday, July 8th, the Oregon State Police Southern Command Center dispatch issued an "Attempt to Locate" bulletin to law enforcement agencies along Interstate 84 and in the Willamette Valley area. OSP troopers in those areas have been advised to be on the lookout for the woman and her van.
