Body Found in Sandy River Identified as Missing TeenSalem-News.comClackamas County Confirms Recovered Body From Sandy River Is Drowning Victim Patrick James Cody Monteith, Age 16, From Sandy
(SANDY, Ore.) - A spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says teh county's Medical Examiners Office has confirmed that the deceased corpse recovered earlier today from the Sandy River, is in fact the missing teen who was presumed drowned in the Sandy River as a result of swimming mishap on the Sandy River in late June. The body recovered earlier today on the Sandy River, has been positively identified by the Clackamas County Medical Examiners Office as 16-year old Patrick James Cody Monteith of Sandy, Oregon. He was a Sandy High student. Patrick Cody disappeared around 2:12 PM, Saturday, June 28th, when he was apparently swept down the Sandy River east of Marmot. No recovery was made as a result of extensive water; ground and aerial searching conducted over a two-day period of time. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office was alerted by fisherman this morning at 8:54 AM, that a human, male body was discovered submerged in the Sandy River. This discovery is reported to have occurred along the Sandy River, in the proximity of 42705 SE Oral Hill Road, east of Sandy. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Patrol personnel and a Clackamas County Medical Examiner responded to this location to conduct a death investigation. Clackamas Spokesman Jim Strovink says all notifications have been completed and this particular drowning investigation is considered closed by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
