Police Investigate Home Invasion Robbery In WillaminaSalem-News.comAnyone with information is asked to contact the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office at 503-434-7506.
(WILLAMINA, Ore.) - A home invasion robbery was reported at 8:13 AM this morning in Willamina. Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said that 40-year old John William Voigt of 134 NW First Street in Willamina was the victim of a robbery. “Due to injuries received by Mr. Voigt, details of the incident are still unclear at this point," Crabtree said. Voight was transported by Life Flight to OHSU. "What we do know is that prior to 8:00 AM this morning, one or two people entered Mr. Voigt’s residence, where they bound and beat him." Crabtree says Voigt’s pickup is missing from the home and believed to be stolen. He hopes that somebody may see the vehicle. "We are asking the public to watch for a white 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4 wheel drive extended cab pickup, similar to the one in the attached photo." He says the truck bears Oregon license number VKY017, and has black fender flares. "When it was last seen this morning, it had black garbage bags in the bed of the truck, though we do not know if the bags are still there at this point." The vehicle also has custom blue graphics along the sides of the pickup. The photo here is of a similar truck but in a different color. If anyone sees the pickup, they are asked to not approach it, but call 911 and wait for an Officer of Deputy to respond.
