Tattoo Photo Released in Oregon Coast Death Investigation

(NEWPORT, Ore.) - Detectives are continuing the investigation of the suspicious death of an unidentified adult male found Wednesday morning on the ocean shore west of Little Creek Cove in north Newport.

The manner and cause of death are still under investigation and an autopsy is pending. Investigators are releasing further physical descriptors and a left shoulder tattoo photograph to help identify the man.

Oregon State Police are working on the case with the assistance of Newport Police Department and the Lincoln County District Attorney and Medical Examiner, A report was received Wednesday at approximately 6:00 AM, that a person jogging on the ocean beach north of Agate Beach Wayside discovered the body of a fully clothed deceased male described as:

* White male adult approximately 42 - 50 years of age * Estimated 5'8" - 5'10" in height * Approximately 250 - 280 pounds * Shoulder length graying dark brown hair * Mustache with about 1 - 2 weeks growth of facial hair * Tattoo left shoulder of crest design with word "Caomanac" underneath * Wearing dark colored t-shirt, Grey sweat pants, and black Converse "Chuck Taylor" high top tennis shoes
