Inmate Found Dead at Snake River Correctional FacilitySalem-News.comThe death is considered a suicide.
(ONTARIO, Ore.) - Prison officials say that at approximately 11:30 PM on Wednesday, an inmate named Nathan Bashaw was found asphyxiated alone in his cell in the Special Management Unit at Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario. Prison security and medical staff attempted to resuscitate Mr. Bashaw, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The 21-year old inmate was serving a sentence for Robbery I Attempt in Multnomah County. He was sent to prison in August 2004. He had a projected release date of April 1st, 2008. As with all deaths of state prisoners, Oregon Sate Police are investigating. Related
