Oregon Sheriff Found Guilty on 11 Counts of Sexual AbuseSalem-News.comProsecutors say they will seek jail time.
(COQUILLE, Ore. ) - The former sheriff of Curry County has been convicted of sexually abusing three county workers. A jury on Thursday convicted Mark Metcalf on 11 counts of sexual abuse, harassment and official misconduct. The charges are misdemeanors. The sex abuse charge involves subjecting another to unwanted sexual contact. Court documents said the harassment occurred four times between February 2005 and March 2006. Metcalf has been on administrative leave since the indictments were handed down. Sentencing is scheduled Aug. 14. Prosecutors say they will seek jail time. Related
