Investigation Into Salem Stabbing ContinuesSalem-News.comAnybody with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Jaime Vasas at 503-588-5060, extension 7153.
(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police say they received numerous reports of several people fighting at the Hyacinth Square Apartments located at 2530 Hyacinth St NE early Monday morning. Police Spokesman Dave Okada says responding units found 29-year old David Gonzalez-Jimenez, suffering from at least two stab wounds to the back. "He was transported to Salem Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that Gonzalez-Jimenez and a friend had gone to the apartment complex to see somebody they knew when an altercation began with several other subjects." Okada says that during the altercation, Gonzalez-Jimenez sustained the stab wounds and several subjects fled the area on foot. "Responding officers were able to locate and detain four of the subjects who were involved in the altercation and interview them regarding the incident. Three of the subjects detained are juveniles, one from Woodburn and two from the Salem area." He says they are being charged with the crimes of Riot. The fourth subject, 18-year old Brian C Martinson, is being charged with Disorderly Conduct. The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing and anybody with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Jaime Vasas at 503-588-5060, extension 7153. Related
